eGeneration, a leading system integration and software solutions company in Bangladesh, has recently signed an agreement with Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU), an agency under the Ministry of Planning. eGeneration will provide CPTU with IT collaboration tools, and workflow automation, consulting, implementation and training on Microsoft SharePoint platform with systems management software, directory services, mail servers, database management system and security solutions using System Center, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and SQL Servers under the project.
Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury, Director General, CPTU; and S M Ashraful Islam, Executive Vice Chairman, eGeneration signed the agreement on behalf of both parties on a signing ceremony held on the 19th October. Among other Aziz Taher Khan, Director, CPTU; Mosharrof Hossain, Sr. System Analyst, CPTU; and Emran Abdullah, Director, eGeneration were also present during the ceremony.
Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury emphasized that they selected the solutions provider after assessing and confirming the provider’s capacity and capability to deliver global technology services with its team and international partners. He added, “As part of strengthening overall sectoral governance and improving performance of public procurement, we are confident that the services will improve our technology footprint through software implementation, and training on the latest digital platform.”
Syeda Kamrun Ahmed, Chairman, eGeneration said, “eGeneration wants to set the standard for ease and rapid deployment in Bangladesh as a technology service provider. Our goal is to provide CPTU with GOVTECH solutions that simplify the deployment, configuration, management, and monitoring of their IT infrastructure.” She also mentioned that these software and hardware solutions will expedite CPTU’s objective to improve public procurement and project monitoring through digitization.
S M Ashraful Islam expressed his delight to deliver the services to Central Procurement Technical Unit and be part of the initiative to improve the governance in the public procurement management. He said, “We plan to provide CPTU with robust solutions required to keep pace with the ever-evolving digital landscape and be an active part of creating a digital infrastructure for the ministry and it’s agencies.”
